Geospatial Technician

Are you looking to work in a position with challenging and exciting work with opportunities for advanced learning and growth? We are a civil and structural engineering firm headquartered in Tewksbury, MA looking for a geospatial technician to assist our survey group. The geospatial technician’s primary functions are to capture LIDAR scan data using laser scanners and drones and working with point cloud data in CAD for generating as-built documentation. This position requires working directly with survey group leaders, project managers, project surveyors, and engineering technicians. We are looking for entry-level candidates that are eager to join a career in our company and are ready to embrace new challenges.

You are our ideal candidate if you possess the following:

  • Assist with on-site 3D Laser Scanning Capture
  • Entry level on CAD and willing to learn working with point clouds. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus
  • Willing to learn to work with laser scan data (Point Clouds) on AutoCAD Software platforms, disciplines, and deliverables
  • Generate as-built CAD models from laser scan data under supervision of Laser Scanning Specialist
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Work independently, be self-motivated, and have exceptional organizational and communication skills, maintain project accuracy, and working under supervision
  • Capture scan data on-site using scanners and survey tools
  • Capture control points to facilitate Geo-referencing of scan data using survey grade GPS
  • Document facilities and sites with concise field notes and photo documentation
  • Experience with total station, RTK GPS, and data collectors for use in the collection of field survey data is a plus
  • Maintain proper care of the company equipment and ensure security and safety for yourself, all equipment, and accessories

We are a civil and structural engineering firm headquartered in Tewksbury, MA looking for someone interested in lighting design and landscape architectural design. Candidate would be responsible for assisting with the design and preparation of lighting, landscape architectural and engineering construction drawing packages and presentation drawings.

Our landscape architecture projects include landscape restoration, streetscape, transportation, and recreation projects. Our lighting design projects serve public and private clients throughout New England.

You are our ideal candidate if you possess the following:

  • Design degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or related design studies and/or relevant work experience.
  • High level proficiency in AutoCAD.

Urban Planner (with Graphic Design Skills)

We‘re looking for the next innovative urban designer/planner to assist with providing creative solutions for our growing and diverse client base in the New England area.

On any given day, you will:

  • Work on several projects simultaneously while proactively collaborating with other team members.
  • Prepare graphics, drawings and renderings in support of planning activities to communicate complex concepts to the public, elected officials and other professionals.
  • Assist with preparation of boards, worksheets, and other materials for public/client meetings, workshops, charrettes, and project team meetings.
  • Create large planning documents with proficiency in layout, consistency, and attractive visual appearance.
  • Design and develop transportation planning studies and compile completed reports.
  • Attend evening meetings and assist with public hearings.
  • Participate in interviews and development of proposals, budgets, and project timelines.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s or master‘s degree in urban design, planning, architecture, or a closely related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant project experience.

 

Desired skills and experiences:

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of urban planning and document production is desirable, as is knowledge of urban design, public engagement, and an interest in downtown redevelopment, urban design and place-making. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and other graphics programs is strongly preferred; Auto CAD and GIS software experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to create high quality graphic designs, development strategies, and render site plans via sketches and/or computer graphics.

Senior Transportation Design Engineer

Green is looking for a Senior Transportation Design Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience that is looking to advance to a Project Manager position. 

The successful candidate shall have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited school and a P.E. is preferred. The successful candidate should have experience in performing roadway geometric design and an ability to develop solutions for a range of transportation problems and needs. They should also be experienced in using AutoCAD (and/or Microstation) and be familiar with the Green Book and other key transportation-related guides and standards. 

Experience in design in accordance with the New England state transportation agencies’ guidelines and procedures is a plus. Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential as the selected candidate will be required to interact with internal project teams, state agencies, municipal review boards, and clients, as well as assisting the firm in the preparation of proposals.

Senior Transportation Design Engineer / Planner

Green is looking for a Senior Transportation Engineer or Planner with 5 to 10 years of experience and who is looking to advance to a Project Manager position. The successful candidate shall have a B.S. in Civil Engineering or Transportation Planning from an accredited school and a P.E. or AICP is preferred. 

The successful candidate should have experience in performing transportation planning studies, traffic impact studies for land development projects, evaluating Complete Streets, developing travel forecasts, and in completing traffic operational analyses using SYNCHRO, SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, etc. The candidate should also be experienced in conducting/overseeing safety audit studies, traffic signal operations and design, using AutoCAD, and be very familiar with the MUTCD. Experience with State agencies is beneficial. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential as the selected candidate will be responsible for preparing study and design reports for clients, interacting with internal project teams, state agencies, municipal review boards and clients, as well as assisting the firm in the preparation of proposals.
